Fishing Insight is a Minnesota lake discovery and fishing log app published by Birch Grove LLC. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights. This policy applies to Fishing Insight and any other apps published by Birch Grove LLC.

Data We Collect

Trip Log & Photos

Fishing trips you log — including catches, notes, and photos — are stored entirely on your device using local storage. This data is never uploaded to our servers, never shared, and never leaves your device.

Lake Data Cache

Public lake data (DNR survey results, scores, depth maps) is cached locally on your device for offline use. This is public information from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and contains no personal data.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not access your device's location or GPS.
• We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information (there is no account or login).
• We do not track your activity across other apps or websites.
• We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties.
• We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs.

Third-Party Services

The app connects to the following external services to provide features:

• Supabase — hosts the public lake database (DNR data only). supabase.com/privacy
• OpenWeather — provides current weather and forecast data. openweather.co.uk/privacy-policy
• Google Maps (Android only) — provides the map layer. policies.google.com/privacy

No personal data is sent to any of these services.

Data Retention

All data stored by the app (trip log, cached lake data, saved favorites) remains on your device and can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the app.

Children

Our apps do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as our apps evolve. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
