Why does a lake show no depth map or size chart?
Not every Minnesota lake has a published bathymetric survey or recent length-distribution data from the DNR. When that data isn't available, those sections are simply hidden for that lake.
Does the app work without a connection?
Yes. Lake data, depth maps, and your trip log are cached on your device after the first load, so they remain available offline. Live weather requires a connection.
Where does the lake data come from?
All survey records, stocking history, depth maps, and regulations are sourced from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. Fishing Insight is not affiliated with or endorsed by the MNDNR. Always verify current regulations through official DNR sources before fishing.
Is my trip log private?
Completely. Your trips, catches, notes, and photos are stored only on your device and are never uploaded or shared. See our Privacy Policy for details.
